Kens 5 Mi Casa | My Community

Through the Kens 5 Mi Casa | My Community program and its generous supporters International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Atlas Floors Carpet One and UBuildIt, Aid the Silent received grant money to provide communication resources and services to deaf and/or hard-of-hearing children in need. Their contribution will help further equal access and opportunity to deaf youth across the country by providing financial means for two families to receive sign language lessons, hearing tests and screenings and much more.

Community Partner

What is a community partner?

A company that is looking to help raise awareness about Aid the Silent through a month-long customer-focused relationship through percent-back fundraiser, donation boxes, employee donations, etc. contributing a minimum overall donation of $1,500 while bringing in patronage to the hosting business. Every month, a single company will be the featured Company Partner of the month driving Aid the Silent supporters to the host business through the ATS website and social media outlets.

Is the event tax deductible?
The proceeds you donate to Aid the Silent from the event are tax deductible by Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Will Aid The Silent fund any part of the event?
No. Aid the Silent cannot be held financially responsible for your event. All expenses are that of the host.

How should donations be designated as DIY Fundraising?
Please write in memo line, DIY and the name of the event.

DIY Fundraiser Examples:

  • Put up a donate sign in your store.
  • Tell customers that you’re giving a portion of your sales to our charity.
  • Get with area churches and ask that the offertory for that service go toward Aid the Silent.
  • Create a product and offer the sale proceeds to our charity.
  • Golf, baseball, etc. tournament
  • Garage sale
  • Casino night
