Marc Strode

Marc was born and raised in San Antonio. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, Marc began his career with Methodist Healthcare. For the past 24 years, he has served in various progressive leadership roles, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of three of its hospitals. He most recently was CEO of Methodist Hospital – Stone Oak for seven years before transitioning into his current role last year as Senior Vice President – Rural Market.

Marc works closely with the rural hospitals across South and Central Texas within Methodist’s 26-county service area, including the four rural hospitals managed by Methodist. Marc is married to his high school girlfriend, Paige, and they have four boys. Paige is also in healthcare, and in their free time, they enjoy watching their kids many athletic events as well as spending time at their ranch just outside of Del Rio, Texas. In addition to serving on the Aid The Silent Board, Marc currently volunteers and serves in leadership roles with Antonian College Preparatory School, greater: SATX and the Devil’s River Conservancy. He is a past board member of American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and Trinity’s Alumni Advisory Board.

Bruce (B.J.) Bealor, Jr.

BJ Bealor moved back to San Antonio shortly after graduating from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Business. He achieved his first International Code Council certification in 2010 and has since obtained more than 40 ICC certifications and four Texas state licenses. BJ is one of only 90 inspectors in Texas to have accomplished the status of Master Code Professional. There are even fewer, like BJ, who have obtained both the ICC Master Code Professional designation and a plumbing inspector’s license from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners.

As the owner of BB Inspections, BJ manages the day-to-day operations. His spends the majority of his time on inspector development and training, plan reviews, specialty inspections and general correspondence with multiple municipalities throughout the San Antonio and south Texas region. BJ has been with BB Inspection Services for over ten years and has experience in all construction trades including residential and commercial building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

In his free time, BJ enjoys spending time with this wife, Whitney, and their three children: Finley (6), Calloway (3) and Micah (2). The Bealor family enjoys trips and weekend outings to fun and activity filled places like Morgan’s Wonderland, the San Antonio Zoo, the DoSeum and Airtopia. BJ was introduced to Aid the Silent at Community Bible Church and is very excited to be a part of the ATS team.

Kathy Rudkin

Kathy is an entrepreneur and philanthropist based in Boerne, Texas. As the founder and CEO of Rudkin Productions, a leading full-service advertising, web, and digital agency established in 1992, her company has become a trusted partner for a diverse array of clients, including ministries, large churches, businesses, and non-profits all over the US and in Israel. 

In 2010, Kathy expanded her business portfolio by founding Rudkin Printing, a company that provides printing services focusing in the digital and large envelope runs. 

She is a legacy board member and co-founder of Aid the Silent, a non-profit organization she established in 2015 with her daughter, Emma Faye Rudkin, who is profoundly deaf. Aid the Silent provides resources, advocacy and support for deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens. Kathy donates and facilitates all the marketing and advertising efforts for the organization, including major fundraising events such as 5Ks, music festivals, and galas. 

She has BA in Advertising with a minor in Marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma. 

She and her husband, Kurt, of 34 years live on a ranch in Boerne, Texas and our parents to three grown children—Casey, Emma Faye, and Beaux—and grandparents to two grandsons, Graham and James.

Ninette Jackson, CPA

Lance E. Jackson, MD, FACS

Dr. Jackson is board-certified in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, and has a sub-specialty board certification in Neurotology. After growing up in San Antonio, Dr. Jackson attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he received a degree in electrical/bioelectrical engineering. While there, he performed extensive research in biomedical signal processing, modeling of bioelectric systems, and computer technology, which he applies to continued research in the field of Otology/Neurotology
(the study and treatment of the ear and skull base).

Dr. Jackson was granted a full tuition scholarship to attend medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. While there, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, an honor bestowed to those in the top of their medical school class. He completed his otolaryngology residency at Stanford University. He completed a postgraduate fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the Ear Research Foundation in Florida.

After completing his fellowship and before moving to San Antonio, Dr. Jackson remained at the Ear Research Foundation as Director of Medical Education, enjoying the opportunity to teach other physician fellows in training and perform research.

Dr. Jackson has published many medical journal articles, written text book chapters, and presented at many national meetings. He has frequently taught at internationally advertised courses for Otology/Neurotology in order to train other doctors in his specialty from around the world. His research awards include the John R. Smith Memorial Fund Award. He has published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine.

His research has resulted in the publication of a textbook entitled Minimally Invasive Otological Surgery, which he co-authored. Dr. Jackson has been referred by his peers as one of the top doctors in San Antonio on numerous occasions.

Distinctions include being included on lists that include Texas Super Doctors, Best Doctors, San Antonio’s Top Doctors, and America’s Top Doctors. In November 2010, the Journal of Laryngology and Otology published the article, “Noise Exposure in Convertible Automobiles,” which Dr. Jackson wrote in conjunction with the St. Louis University School of Medicine and the University of Texas at San Antonio, and
as a result he was interviewed and the conclusions were featured in Men’s Health magazine. Dr. Jackson was involved in a in early phase study with Frequency Therapeutics to investigate an injectable medication designed to recover lost hair cells of the inner ear, and the study was published in the medical journal Otology & Neurotology in 2021, creating much excitement in the hearing care world.

Dr. Jackson has also worked as an electrical engineer designing computer processors at Sun Microsystems and Texas Instruments, as a biomedical engineer heading projects in industry, and as a medical consultant for a start-up company. He continues to utilize his engineering background for application toward development of medical techniques and devices. He has coached all three of his children in soccer, enjoys fitness, and has run numerous half-marathons and marathons. He has completed medical missions with his family in Honduras and Calcutta to provide much-needed medical care and education.

Dr. Jackson focuses his practice in the field of Otology/Neurotology, which includes treatment of all aspects of the ear, including hearing loss, dizziness/balance disorders, and allergies. With the help of the EIT staff, the practice offers advanced testing techniques to evaluate ear/vestibular/balance disorders. Dr. Jackson performs both medical and surgical treatment for ear conditions for both children and adults. Surgeries performed including repair of tympanic membrane perforations, repair of ossicles (ear bones), stapedotomy, mastoidectomy (such as for cholesteatoma), resection of skull base tumors (such as acoustic neuromas), and placement of implantable devices for hearing (such as cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aids).

SSG (Ret.) Shilo Harris

Shilo Harris came from a family with deep roots in military service. As a son of a Vietnam veteran, Shilo always knew he wanted to be a soldier. On September 11th, 2001, his life changed forever. Shortly afterward he enlisted as a Cavalry Scout in the US Army. His first deployment was to Schweinfurt, Germany with the 1st Infantry Division. From Germany Shilo headed to war-torn Iraq.

On his second deployment, with the 10th Mountain Division, he was assigned and worked near southern Baghdad. On February 19, 2007, Harris’ armored vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED). The explosion injured the driver and ended three fellow soldiers’ lives. Shilo survived with severe third degree burns on 35% of his body. The severity of the burns meant the loss of Shilo’s ears, the tip of his nose and three fingers. The crushing explosion fractured his left collarbone and C-7 vertebrae, damaged his lungs and scared him with TBI, PTS, NDE, and Survivor Guilt.

The devastating injuries required that Shilo remain in a medically induced coma for 48 days. After, he spent nearly three years recovering, which included undergoing intensive physical therapy and surgeries at the burn unit of Brook Army Medical Center (BAMC), now known as SAMC in San Antonio, TX. While at BAMC, he was the first soldier to participate

in cutting-edge regenerative stem-cell research to regrow his fingers, and later received prosthetic ears. Shilo’s recovery has involved more than 78 surgeries (to date as there are surgeries required for the remainder of his life), which at times, has required his family to spend up to six hours a day on wound care. In 2010, he chose to medically retire from the Army. Shilo reflects on his time in the service that led him to his injuries: “Everything in life is a gift. Sometimes it may not be the gift you want but you realize that your challenges are a new beginning.”

Shilo is a dedicated sweetheart to Jamie PK, and active father. He hopes to leave a strong legacy for his family. Today, Shilo is a motivational speaker, sharing his story

with corporate groups around the world on, yet not limited to: how to overcome adversity, balance personal and professional life, motivational leadership, customer service success, raising awareness of physical, emotional and mental scars of war, and serving as an inspiration to fellow soldiers/veterans and their families. Shilo shares his inspiring story in his memoir, Steel Will: My Journey Through Hell to Become the Man I was Meant to Be (September 1, 2014; Baker Books). He is currently working on additional publications with Jamie PK on goal-achieving, relationships, and endurance. His short film, Shilo, released in 2018, which is currently in the works for a feature film.

Sandra Hagee Parker

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Sandra Parker has been practicing law for the past decade and specializes in non-profits. She presently serves as In-House Counsel to a local large non-profit and is Chairwoman of the Board for CUFI Action Fund. Active in the Cornerstone Church community, where she and her husband Ryan are leaders, Sandra enjoys being part of the music ministry there.

In addition to her legal practice, Sandra has enjoyed other creative pursuits, including recording Dove-Award nominated southern gospel albums with her family, serving as Executive Producer of the blockbuster docudrama, Four Blood Moons and writing the book Bible Positions on Political Issues and the children’s book, The Adventures of Pajama Girl.

In her free time she enjoys traveling with her family and considers her two daughters, Olivia and Ellie, her greatest accomplishments.

Shannon Badger, CPA, RIA

Shannon Badger is a strategic visionary committed to her client’s financial success. Shannon has built a high-performing executive team and is continually developing them through technical accounting and finance best practices. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) specializing in tax, accounting, and system strategies for her clients. Her achievements and contributions have made her a pacesetter within the accounting and finance industry.

Shannon has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University. With deep industry knowledge, and a detail-oriented approach, Shannon is equipped to understand the needs of the most discerning clients, delivering an experience rooted in customer service, integrity, and expertise. She is a keen advocate for her clients, proactively seeking out new ways to enhance her services and to continually attain excellence, with client satisfaction as the ultimate objective.

Shannon is committed to helping companies gain clarity on their financial position and takes pleasure leading them to outperform even their own expectations. To do this, Shannon leads with a strategic, pragmatic, results-driven orientation and has helped establish operational excellence across diverse environments.

Shannon serves and provides accounting services to multiple non-profits across San Antonio, including but not limited to Ransomed Life, Admirals Basketball, Vision Works Camps, The Source for Women, Chosen, Daily Bread Ministries, Providence Place, St. Anthony’s Catholic Schools and Beefmasters Breeders United. Shannon also maintains memberships with the C12 Board (Christian CEO forum), San Antonio Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Women’s Energy Network – South Texas.

Shannon’s professional journey started at renowned corporations such as Ernst & Young LLP, Enbridge Energy Partners LP and Marathon Petroleum Corporation (formerly Tesoro Corporation). Her tactical and strategic experience includes identification and documentation of requirements, system & workflow design, project management & communication, data migration, report definition, user training, and change management. Shannon leveraged that wisdom to start Badger CPA Firm, where she helps entrepreneurs and businesses succeed.

Nikki Young

Nikki Young’s entertainment career spans such hit stage shows as The Love List, Romantic Fools, and Rumors, as well as regular guest appearances on Great Day SA, San Antonio Living, Fox News First, and Jack Riccardi’s Gang of Four.

Some of her feature film work includes roles in VOSOT: Voice Over/Sound on Tape, Wolf (which received a standing ovation during its premiere at SXSW in 2012), and the superhero comedy Now Hiring. Nikki also garnered critical acclaim for her work in the award-winning short film Four Minutes Till the End, which enjoyed festival screenings all over Texas and was an official selection of the Cannes Film Festival.

As a host, Nikki has emceed numerous shows and events. Onstage and online – from forums to fundraisers, from readings to retreats, from workshops to the Women’s Final Four – Nikki has entertained audiences across Texas, and even as far away as Poland.

Nikki received her BFA in Theatre from Southwest Texas State University, and has taught acting to hundreds of students of all ages through camps, churches, film sets, and private sessions.

She currently resides in San Antonio, where she produces film, theatre, and live events with her company, PrimaDonna Productions, Inc., and for artists and clients across the city.

Nikki also teaches Theatre to students with special needs at Monarch Academy as well Entertainment Director for Morgan’s Wonderland. As founder of the “Arty Party,” she supports wounded warriors and their families at the YMCA. And with her literary lapdog, Readmore Books, she promotes literacy to kids across San Antonio as “Miss Nikki, The Literature Lady.”
